Face to face learning : MSc Safety Engineering programmes including QRA and HAZOP training

Face-to-face learning

Face-to-face (F2F) learning is provided to groups of 5 or more students from the same organisation.  Our clients find this approach very effective because the training can be focused on the organisation's specific type of operations ( e.g. HAZOP Training or QRA training), risk assessment practices and personnel development needs.

Individuals or small groups, i.e. fewer than 5 people, are catered for via Risktec's distance learning programmes.

Clients select Risktec F2F training and education to help:

  • recruit and train new personnel
  • develop and retain existing personnel
  • capture and transfer the knowledge of experienced personnel
  • assess the capability of risk and safety practitioners
  • structure the use of their training budget.

Individuals who are interested in our courses can receive the same training via our distance learning route.

Modules typically comprise two days F2F teaching followed, for modules with assessment, by a period of self-study over a 6 to 8 week period to complete a piece of coursework which is then formally marked.

The duration for a postgraduate qualification depends on whether the course is studied full time or part time and is agreed in advance.  Generally the PgCert takes about one year to complete if studied part time, the PgDip takes about one further year (part time) and the MSc safety engineering project takes six months to one year (part time).

The modules are delivered by Risktec's practising risk consultants, who have been approved by LJMU to teach to Masters level.  Students receive the benefit of up-to-date content and practical, real-world learning.  The Risktec teachers encourage interaction and participation, and adapt to individual learning styles and knowledge gaps.

The total fee varies depending on a range of factors such as the number of students on the programme, the number of selected modules, whether the programme leads to a qualification or is attendance only, the location, whether the modules need to be customised specifically for the organisation, and whether students will require additional coaching.  Once we have discussed your requirements, we would be pleased to provide a fully priced proposal.

Further details are provided in our FAQs.

If you think there may be a number of personnel in your organisation who would be interested in our F2F MSc safety engineering programme, QRA training or HAZOP training  then we would be very pleased to discuss further how we could assist.
