Risktec training and education business awarded best in the North West
(Aug-11) Risktec's Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) which developed our training and education business has been selected as the Best Partnership in the UK North West region. The award was made by an independent group of business and academic advisors working for the UK's Technology Strategy Board.
Only those KTPs in the North West who had received a high grade were eligible for the award, over 30 KTPs. As the winner of the regional award, Risktec and LJMU are now one of 7 finalists for the UK Best KTP Award which takes place on 11th October 2011 in London.
Managing Director Alan Hoy comments, "We are delighted to have won this award with LJMU. By the time the KTP was finished we had gone well beyond our initial aim. Today we have 30 modules validated as an MSc programme in Safety and Risk Management. Our first MSc students graduated in July - we feel like proud parents!
"The MSc programme was also recently validated for distance learning delivery, which means we can support individual students anywhere in the world rather than from single organisations. We firmly believe that what we offer is unique and well ahead of our competitors in the UK and internationally."
